Join Ka'u Coffee Mill staff from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, or Thursday, May 19, on a hike through native Hawaiian forest along the path of an ancient flume system from the sugarcane era that has been revived to carry water to the mill and surrounding farms. Inspect an old water tunnel, listen to the songs of the native birds, and discover Ka'u's hydroelectric future as you learn about the native flora and fauna and breath the cool crisp forest air. Make sure to book ahead as space is limited on this journey. Call 808-928-0550 for more details and to reserve your spot, $45 per person includes a packed lunch.
